St. Thérèse of Lisieux
There are many different novenas that ask St. Thérèse of Lisieux to place our intentions before God for us. The Chaplet of St. Thérèse consists of 24 Glory Bes, one for each year she lived on earth. St. Thérèse promised to send a shower of roses on earth after she died, she promised to pray to God to send down many, many graces on us. Remember, you can offer this novena for any intention you like.
1. Begin with the Sign of the Cross. Pray the opening prayer:
Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God, the Holy Spirit, I thank You for all the blessings and favors You have showered upon the soul of Your servant Thérèse of the Child Jesus, during the 24 years she spent here on earth, and in consideration of the merits of this, Your most beloved Saint, I beseech You to (insert intention here), if it is in accordance with Your most Holy Will and is not an obstacle to my salvation.
2. Pray 24 Glory Be’s, praying “Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus, pray for us” between each one.
This is a novena prayer. Novenas are prayed each day for nine days to ask God for a special intention. Remember that God is always taking care of you and always answers your prayers, even if it’s not always in the way you expect
