Zeal – St. Mary of the Cross MacKillop

We cannot keep to ourselves the words of eternal life given to us in our encounter with Jesus Christ: they are meant for everyone, for every man and woman. … It is our responsibility to pass on what, by God’s grace, we ourselves have received.

Pope Benedict XVI

The first virtue in Wreath IV is Zeal with the Golden Wattle as the flower. Because Wreath IV is still relatively new, there aren’t a lot of meeting ideas for it yet. We published a post about Zeal a few weeks ago, so here’s a follow-up craft!

This idea is from Cat Tenné Designs on blogspot. And, as she mentions, National Wattle Day is today!!

To make this craft, you just need some paper, crayons, and yellow tissue paper or pom poms.

I’ve made a design you can print out and have the girls color in, then glue their pom poms onto. Just right-click on the picture, save it to your computer, and print enough copies for all your girls.

To make pom poms out of tissue paper, just cut out strips, roll them up, and glue each into place.
